Think of the twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana as one great, beautiful story — and The Fool is the hero at its heart. As he steps forward, he meets each card in turn, and through them, he learns life’s deepest lessons: he encounters strength and kindness, challenge and wisdom, love and loss, purpose and transformation. Each card represents a moment of growth, a realisation, or a truth he carries forward; from the joyful innocence of his first step, he slowly matures, understands more deeply, and awakens to his own wisdom and spiritual purpose.
By the time he reaches the final card, The Fool has journeyed through every part of the human experience — and in doing so, he has come full circle, wiser, deeper, and more whole. This journey is not just his story; it is yours, too. When you read the cards, you are seeing reflections of your own path, your own lessons, and your own growth.
